The brass used in our products displays outstanding characteristics in superior tensile strength, corrosion and shrinkage resistance and most importantly – zero porosity which is the key to achieve flawless and smooth surface which are the prerequisite for high quality coatings and plating.

(Computer Aided Design) technology to meet the strictest precision and quality requirements. The faucet bodies are made by low-pressure die casting machine imported from Italian company IMR S.p.A to achieve high precision die casting which is crucial for tight fittings and water proof applications. After the required coatings and plating, finished products are then polished to perfection using an automated polishing machine imported from Spain.

All faucet moulds and tooling are designed by our in-house engineering team using the latest CAD (Computer Aided Design) technology to meet the strictest precision and quality requirements.

The faucet bodies are made by low-pressure die casting machine imported from Italian company IMR S.p.A to achieve high precision die casting which is crucial for tight fittings and water proof applications. After the required coatings and plating, finished products are then polished to perfection using an automated polishing machine imported from Spain.

 

Dual Coatings and Protection For Life Long Shine

For products with polished chrome finish, the first base coat consists of nickel electroplating at 10 μm (micrometer). As a sealant and corrosion inhibitor, nickel is used to further protect the brass faucet body against corrosive attacks. The second coat is chromium electroplating at a thickness of 0.3 μm which brings the total coating thickness to 10.3 μm.

As the final plating step, chromium is actually a protective coating over the shiny nickel which prevents the nickel coating from tarnishing. Chrome plating is hard and durable which will not dull, corrode or tarnish even under the harshest conditions.

Our product finish is also highly resistant to fruit and vegetable acid, salt, air and other elements which will damage products with inferior or thin coatings. All brushed nickel finishes are also further protected by state-of-the-art PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) processing to give the faucet exceptional physical properties to withstand the rigours and the wear and tear of daily use such as scratch, tarnish and corrosion resistance.

Comprehensive Corrosion Resistance Testing for Product Finish

Thanks to the high quality coatings, Wasser Ware products are able to withstand the most rigorous salt spray corrosion resistance tests which mean a peace of mind when installing our products in your customer's projects.

For the following tests, the products are exposed to environments that are several hundred times harsher than the typical household conditions. After 200 hours of exposure to salt spray test, the product finish remains like-new and exhibits no signs of flaking, tarnishing, bubbling or discoloration.

To take the corrosion test one level further, an extremely corrosive acidic salt spray test is performed for another 24 hours on the products to guarantee the highest quality and durability in product finishing. After two rigorous corrosion tests, the product finish remains unscathed which will provide a lifetime of shine and brilliance for your customers.

Three Rigorous Pressure and Leak Testing For Every Product

All Wasser Ware products undergo three types of pressure and leak testing to ensure the highest reliability against accidental leakages. This is performed on every single product leaving the manufacturing facility prior to packaging and shipment.

The first test consists of a water flow test at an 80 to 116 PSI to ensure proper flow rate and aeration of the water stream to achieve excellent water flow characteristics. For pressure durability test against accidental leakage and seal failures, all faucets must also withstand to a static water pressure of 232 PSI.

The final test consists of an airproof test where pressurized air at 87 PSI is injected into the faucet to provide the final guarantee against leakage and proper sealing in all critical areas. To pass this test, the faucet must not exhibit any signs of air leakage from the seals.

Superior Quality O-rings and Flexible Hosing

All O-rings and washers are made from high quality non-toxic nitrile butadiene (NBR) rubber to provide a reliable and leak free joints between the faucet connections. Nitrile based O-rings are superior to most elastomers with regard to compression, tear, and abrasion resistance.

Flexible connector hoses are made from polyethylene (PE) plastic braided in stainless steel weavings to provide durability, resistance to punctures and extreme water pressure. Polyethylene has the excellent properties of an engineering plastic that exhibits a high degree of inertness, making it attractive for use in the food and beverage markets where leaching or permeability would present risks of contamination.

All flexible hosing are tested to withstand the following criteria:

1) Withstand a flowing water pressure of 116 PSI and static water pressure of 232 PSI
2) Withstand a pulling force of up to 40 KG
3) Withstand kinking of up to 4 KG
